The Loon Mountain Bridge is officially open! It has been a long time coming, but the Town of Lincoln opened the bridge to vehicles on July 22, 2016. Senator Jeanne Shaheen visited the newly opened bridge on August 16 during her visit to the North Country. The original bridge was damaged by Tropical Storm Irene in 2011 and since that time the entry to the Loon Mountain Resort has been over a temporary bridge. The temporary bridge has since been removed and R.M. Piper, Inc. is working to remove the old bridge and stabilize the river banks. Final completion is expected to be in January.
